Yasmine & Cory’s Wedding

The day I met this sweet couple, their love for each other was so visible, I knew I had to photograph their wedding. We met at Dollop Coffee on Ohio Street for their consultation, and let me tell you! I loved the details they shared about how they met, and their upcoming special day. Hearing their plans for a relaxed and intimate wedding at Alfred Caldwell Lily Pool in Lincoln Park Zoo, made me so excited to be part of their wedding!

Fast forward to the day of their wedding on a perfect summer Chicago day! It began with their First Look by the Honeycomb Structure.  Next, we walked over to the Lily Pool where their immediate families were waiting to celebrate Yasmine and Cory’s love.

The Lily Pool is so picturesque — if you haven’t visited this spot, it’s a must-see — and the perfect complement to Yasmine and Cory’s wedding. The couple walked arm-in-arm with each of their parents down to the Pavilion at the water’s edge where the ceremony was to take place. It was beautiful to witness them. They shared their personal vows, had the blessing of the rings, and time-honored breaking of the glass tradition. Last — but definitely not least — they were MARRIED!

After the ceremony, we took a few family and couple portraits before exiting the Lily Pool. The couple and I walked to our last stop, which was the bridge near Cafe Bauer, with views of the Chicago Skyline. This spot is special to the couple, and I could not think of a better spot to end our time together. It was such a pleasure to capture their day.  Thank you again, Yasmine and Cory, for picking me to be part of your day!
